Welcome to Scripted!

Scripted is about you.

It’s about your starting point.

It’s about building your skills and self-esteem.

It’s about you becoming a member of a community of like-minded people who are serious about making impactful theatre.  This club offers a collaborative environment where you’ll develop leadership skills and participate in meaningful bi-annual service projects.

Together, you’ll grow, learn, and make a lasting impact in your community.

We are all part of one theatrical club but there are different ways to get involved:

Acting, Production Ensemble, Technical Theatre,  Improv Team,

French Musical Theatre and Dramatic Writing Workshops.

Production Ensemble

Scripted carries a proud history of nurturing creativity and confidence in young performers. Beyond theatre skills, the program emphasizes leadership development, as you not only learn to perform but also take on responsibilities within the production process. This combination of artistic expression and leadership training will help you grow into well-rounded individuals, prepared to take initiative and collaborate effectively, both on and off the stage.

Improv Team

Whether your are an actor or future businessperson or doctor, you need to be able to think and respond in the moment.

The improv team emphasizes quick thinking, creativity, and teamwork. Through games and exercises, students learn to think on their feet, build scenes spontaneously, and respond dynamically to their partners. This class fosters a “yes, and” mentality, encouraging students to accept and build on each other's ideas.

This is an ideal place for actors to stretch their spontaneity and comedic timing, which enhances scripted work.

FAQs

Do you need a theatre home?

Scripted founder Robin Privat brings over 30 years of experience teaching acting, dance, and French to students just like you. Her passion lies in helping young artists unlock their potential and achieve their next milestones—on stage and beyond.  She’s here to help you discover your strengths and take the next exciting step in your artistic journey!

Will I fit in?

Of course, since no two students are alike, we choose productions and exercises to challenge the individuals currently in front of us.  Each new success gives participants a new foundation to stand firmly upon in order to reach even higher the next time around.  I want to see you reach!

What is a drama club?

Participants form strong bonds between all members of the group, they encourage each other, and they cheer each other on when courage is needed.  They support each other in challenging situations.  Staying together as an ensemble for several consecutive productions increases the bonds of community.  As students mature and grow in their theatre skillsets, they become leaders of the club and mentors to the younger performers.

How much will it cost?

For Scripted Ensemble Productions, fees for participants are $280.  Additionally, each participant sells at least $150 in tickets to the performances.

For all other classes and workshops the fees are $90 a month per class. There will be modest ticket fees for audience members attending the quarterly studio performance nights.
